Blog Posts and Web Content
Blog posts and e-newsletters connect you and your clients. Web content, blogs and articles share your news and spread your message to potential and current customers. Web content must be current, engaging and relevant to attract new visitors and keep them clicking through your site.
Our Work Our Work: Child Welfare Client Stories, Speeches, Legislative Testimony
Telling credible, memorable stories builds camaraderie and trust. Stories brings readers into your world and spark their curiosity. A client profile illustrates the problems your services solve, a customer success story demonstrates the need your product addresses and a constituent story plainly shows why your organization must exist. Stories are shared in many ways--web site content, speeches, proposals, sales pitches, press releases, testimony--but they all must be direct, engaging and accurate.
White Papers, Policy Papers, Grant Proposals, Annual Reports
Sometimes sound bites aren't enough. Thorough research and longer formats convey complicated information, raise money, and inform and persuade people with facts, figures and stories.
Manuals
Written manuals help every enterprise run smoothly. They might take the form of a user guide, a human resources manual, a new employee handbook, a "help" or "how to" page. To be effective, manuals must be accurate and current, which means someone has to do the research, write the manual and keep it updated.
Fact Sheets and Brochure Content
Whether in hard copy or electronic format, every business, consultant, initiative and venture needs a narrative. Call it a fact sheet, brochure, elevator speech or home page--the goal is to entice and educate potential clients.
Op-EdsTimely, well-placed op-eds can influence public will and public policy decisions. They are often a key tool for both the business and human services sectors.
ArticlesNewspaper and magazine articles inform, persuade and entertain. Topics vary widely but great grammar, perfect punctuation and compelling content are always essential in a good story.
Book EditingGreat books have great editors. E-books, user guides, academic anthologies, manuals and traditional books all need editors and writers. A project manager is sometimes needed as well.

Karen Baynes-Dunning, University of Alabama Professor, Public Speaker, Policy Expert "Karen has a solid reputation of delivering high-quality, accurate information that has been properly researched and vetted."
Mary Margaret Oliver, Georgia State Legislator, Lawyer, Small Business Owner “It was a pleasure working with Karen on communications projects for the Interfaith Children’s Movement. I could always count on her quick, insightful mind, her optimistic personality, and her ability to write clearly in a way that moved ICM members to action. And she always met the deadline we had agreed on!”
Joy Borra, Communications Professional, Forrest Associates, Stone Mountain, GA "Karen Worthington is a lifesaver. The first time the Friends of the Children's Justice Center used her talents for our newsletter, she supplied us with three stories and told me I could use any one of them. They were so good that I cut other articles and used all three. Karen is a perfectionist and submitted error-free, grammatically correct stories that were articulate as well as factual. I used her several times after that newsletter, and she performed with amazing results. When a Maui team was organized to create a child abuse prevention brochure, I insisted that Karen be part of that team. She helped us write a successful and relevant brochure that will be used for years to come."
Randy Echito, Retired Executive Director, Friends of the Children's Justice Center of Maui. "Karen is excellent at translating large amounts of technical information into easy-to-digest language for all audiences. She is fun to work with and always delivers on time and on budget."
Michelle Barclay, Esquire, Georgia AOC Assistant Director "Karen consistently demonstrates a keen ability to identify the main themes stakeholders need to advance and presents them in a concise manner. Even under tight deadlines and in competitive markets, she finds the most advantageous and effective means to communicate with the right audience, and she does it with poise, energy and grace."
